The municipal market has become the core of Whitney Equipment Company. With over 30 manufacturers represented, we provide numerous products for a multitude of applications including pumping, blending, disinfection, solids separation, flow/level monitoring, liquid storage, motor control, and process analyzers. These diverse yet complementary systems allow Whitney Equipment Company to provide a complete, single-source turnkey solution. This ensures system component functionality by eliminating multiple vendor integration issues. Our staff consisting of inside and outside sales representatives, pre and post-project management, and corporate operations are here to provide the best products and support in the industry.
Whitney Equipment was built upon the foundation of the industrial marketplace, especially pulp & paper and food processing. By representing the leading manufacturers we are able to provide products to increase production and reduce operational and maintenance costs. This results in increased profitability for our customers. We have recently reorganized our industrial business plan to coincide with the changing market. We have hired two dedicated outside salespeople to cover just industrial clients.
Our dedicated sales and engineering groups work within the industrial accounts to improve internal processes and discharge compliance. Projects typically include liquid mixing, filtration, automatic sampling, flow monitoring, and storage equipment.
Monitoring and protection of our natural resources is an important part of who Whitney Equipment Company is. In the late 1990’s Whitney Equipment Company accepted a challenge to work on a team tasked with developing a method compliant with the Endangered Species Act requirement to increase the salmon population. The result was a salmon attraction system designed to transport juvenile smelts around dams during their migration to the sea. The success of these systems increased salmon smelt survival passage rate from below 65% to greater than 95% per dam. This is one example of environmental stewardship provided by Whitney Equipment Company.
At Whitney Equipment Company our support does not stop once equipment is delivered. We understand there is a level of service and support expected with the manufacturers and products we represent. Our dedicated staff of 8 consists of field and shop technicians and coordinator are dedicated to providing efficient service to ensure reliable equipment. Factory-trained technicians provide the following services on all represented equipment: installation assistance, start-up, training, repairs and maintenance agreements. With fleet vehicles, lease equipment, and a proficient service center we can assist with the maintenance of your equipment.
Engineering and Design Assistance
Whitney Equipment Company works with engineers during the design stages of projects to select the correct equipment for the application and provide installation review and budgetary pricing. Whitney Equipment Company employs six engineers, including three licensed PEs. Our commitment to providing front-end support on projects help ensure the correct equipment is specified for the application.
