The History of Whitney Equipment Company

Whitney Equipment Company Inc was established in 1971 in Bellevue, Washington. Whitney's main office is currently located in Bothell, WA, with a branch office in Vancouver, WA. Our Company focuses on the sale of equipment for the treatment of water and wastewater in both Municipal and Industrial applications. We also have a very strong presence in the process side of the Pulp & Paper, Food Processing, Biotech, and Chemical Process Industries. Our fastest growing field has been in the environmental water sampling and monitoring both for plant discharge to local waterways and the health of those waterways. Following thirty seven years of growth, the present staff is made up of seventeen employees.

Whitney Equipment has an outside sales staff of eight including three engineers, two of which are P.E.s. Our inside sales staff of three acts as product managers for the accounts we represent. This assures that our customers always have access to someone who can get them answers. We have a full service department of four to assist our customers in the care and maintenance of their equipment.

Whitney Equipment Company's policy is to be very selective in the number and quality of manufacturers that we represent. In this way, we are able to give our customers the best possible service and our manufacturers the attention they deserve.

Our line card contains 5 or 6 main accounts with a total of 8 to 12 ancillary companies represented. Whitney covers a geographical area consisting of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and southeast Alaska for most of our manufacturers. The company is well situated and adequately staffed to cover these areas.

Our Company believes that you must be able to service what you sell. As such we have a highly trained service department to handle start-ups, training, and maintenance of the products we represent.
